It's funny how angry and bitter you can feel, until a song comes on to remind you of the big picture and turns the bitterness into Alka-seltzer. Feel the afternoon, the clean face, the peace.
in 2001 she released a self titled CD... "Katy Hudson" the genera... Christian Pop...
it's surprising that now she is known for "I Kissed a Girl"
tee-hee. critics talk smack about this album... but they are not you or me. i think you'd like it. and even if you don't go out and buy it right after hearing it. i know you'd enjoy having some of the songs around.
i mean it's not every other day that i spin "American Idiot" but the CD is still there and everytime i pick it up i'm reminded of a time.
"American Idiot" reminds me of a time I was angry at a certain boyfriend ... and then how he redeemed himself. But deeper than that, the album reminds me of a lot of things from my past, a lot of things I was thinking, feeling, and worrying about years ago. I need to listen to that today. Nostalgia.
And I knew about Katy's first album. I go to a Christian school remember? Everyone was incredibly insulted at her big hit last summer. haha
But yes, I'm going to pick it up. Or maybe steal it from you when I return the other CDs/video game I borrowed from you a year ago. Along with Dig Out Your Soul!!
Also, I don't have any albums for ya, but I have a few tracks I've been wanting to share with you. Maybe I'll come bearing a mixed CD.
